The Role

You’ll run adult Muay Thai classes from beginner through advanced, build the curriculum, and set the tone for the room from day one. This is a ground-floor opportunity — the person who takes it gets real ownership over how the program develops.

What you’ll do

- Instruct adult Muay Thai classes on a set weekly schedule, from intro-level through advanced

- Build and maintain a structured beginner curriculum — stance, footwork, the eight limbs, clinch fundamentals

- Hold pads with control and quality for a wide range of skill levels

- Manage controlled sparring with clear rules, appropriate pairings, and zero tolerance for gym wars

- Create a safe, welcoming training environment — especially for first-timers and women in the program

- Track attendance and student progression

- Support member retention through check-ins and follow-up with new students

- Assist with trials, intro classes, and occasional promo content (photos/video for social)

- Keep bags, pads, gloves, and mats clean and in good condition

What We’re Looking For

Required

- Minimum 2 years of teaching or assistant-coaching experience with adults

- Verifiable training lineage under a recognized gym, Kru,



or sanctioning body

- Excellent pad work — you can read a student’s level and adjust in real time

- Strong communication skills; you can break down a technique for someone who has never thrown a kick

- Reliable availability for weekday evenings and weekend mornings

Nice to have

- Amateur or professional fight record

- Kru-level certification or formal instructor credential

- Experience cornering fighters or running a competition team

- Additional striking or grappling credentials (kickboxing, boxing, MMA, BJJ)

- Experience growing a program from a small student base

- Comfort on camera for social media content
