Role Description

This is a part time, on-site IT Technician role based at The CompDoc in Brampton, ON. The technician will provide on-site technical support for client offices, including Networking, Computer and Office equipment setup, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and basic network maintenance. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required, as travel to client sites is an essential part of the role. The role requires basic knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi.

The technician must be comfortable working directly at client locations, diagnosing technical issues, following instructions, documenting completed work, and communicating professionally with clients.

Qualifications





- Basic knowledge of networking and network troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routers, switches, access points, and Wi-Fi.
- Basic troubleshooting and technical support skills for computers, printers, network equipment, and office technology.
- Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot networking and office equipment at client locations.
- Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Ability to follow technical instructions, diagnose common issues, and work independently at client sites.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple service calls and complete required documentation.
- Previous IT support, field technician, networking, or office setup experience is an asset.
- Relevant technical certification (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA) or equivalent practical experience is beneficial.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel to client locations.
