The Rocky Mountain Co-op Night Building Assistant (NBA) will work closely and assist the Property Manager to create a safe and pleasant living environment for all residents when working the night shift.
Reporting Relationships
This position reports directly to the RMCH Property Manager and the Assistant Housing Manager(s).
Job Components The NBA is responsible for understanding the policies and procedures set forth by the Rocky Mountain Co-op and must be able to communicate them to the residents when necessary. This position will make recommendations tothe Housing Manager/Assistant Housing Manager(s) for policy changes and breach of policy recommendations. The RMC Management will oversee any/all disciplinary actions.
The NBA will monitor all people entering the building(s) to ensure that no visitors access the property after 11:00pm unless they have an overnight guest pass.
On an hourly basis during their shift, the NBA will perform a walk-through of the building(s) to ensure there are no disruptions, excessive noise and no maintenance concerns to report to the Housing Manager/Assistant Housing Manager(s).
The NBA will be required to record all duties performed, during their shift, in a night logbook. All information in the logbook must be accurate and kept confidential between RMC Management and NBA.
The NBA may need to provide solutions when certain situations arise.
They should be able to react/respond to the issue and/or contact the appropriate authorities if necessary and advise the Housing Manager/Assistant Housing Manager(s) immediately.
Custodial duties will be required by the NBA during their shift. Cleaning duties include but are not limited to; vacuuming hallways, cleaning laundry rooms, mopping stairwells, and maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby.
During the winter months, some light shoveling and/or placing of gravel or ice melt by the front entrance and sidewalks may be required during their shift.
The Night Building Assistant will maintain a positive working relationship with the residents, always communicating with them in a professional manner.
This position may be required to perform minor maintenance duties where necessary and any other duties as assigned by the Housing Manager/Assistant Housing Manager(s).
Resident Requests For safety of both the NBA and residents the NBA will not enter a unit with a resident alone. Another RMCH staff member or a 3rd party must be present. Repairs within the unit are the responsibility of the employer and should not be done by RMCH staff.

Renumeration
$21/hour. Paid every 2 weeks.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year’s experience in similar position
- Ability to produce good customer service
- First aid is a benefit
- Must be dependable/ trustworthy and able to work alone
- Problem Solve effectively and quickly
- Clear Criminal Check is required
