Bilingual Communications Officer - Permanent - 19287About the OpportunityLRO Staffing is partnering with a well-established national membership-based organization to recruit a Bilingual Communications Officer for a full time, permanent opportunity based in Ottawa. This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity for a communications professional who is passionate about creating engaging content, managing digital communications, and supporting a collaborative, mission-driven organization.Reporting to the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality bilingual communications that support the organization's strategic priorities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple communications projects, digital platforms, and stakeholder relationships.Draft, edit, coordinate, and publish engaging bilingual communications across multiple channels, including newsletters, email campaigns, websites, social media, and event communicationsDevelop and adapt content for digital and print materials, including presentations, reports, promotional materials, and executive communicationsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure communications are clear, consistent, accessible, and aligned with organizational priorities and brand standardsMaintain publication schedules and coordinate the timely release of communications productsUpload, format,



and maintain website content and member communications platformsSchedule and monitor social media content using Hootsuite and assist with future content planningCoordinate translation of communications materials and review translated content for quality and consistencyAdminister communications systems, including website content management systems, email marketing platforms, subscriber databases, and distribution listsProduce communications materials supporting conferences, events, programs, and organizational initiativesDesign visually engaging communications products using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite, including graphics, presentations, infographics, reports, and promotional materialsMaintain branded templates, visual assets, and communications resourcesEnsure all communications meet accessibility, quality, and brand standardsMonitor communications analytics and prepare reports to measure engagement and support continuous improvementContribute ideas that enhance communications effectiveness and audience engagementSupport communications process improvements and new technology implementations as requiredAbout YouPost-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related disciplineDemonstrated experience developing, editing,



and publishing communications across multiple digital platformsExceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and French (bilingualism is mandatory)Experience creating professional communications materials using Canva and/or Adobe Creative SuiteExperience coordinating communications projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing deadlinesExperience managing websites, email marketing platforms (Mailchimp or similar), and social media management tools such as HootsuiteStrong understanding of accessibility standards and best practices for digital communicationsExperience interpreting communications analytics and using insights to improve engagementExcellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a small, team-oriented environmentProficiency with Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDriveKnowledge of Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) is considered an assetExperience working within a membership-based association, not-for-profit, public sector, or professional services environment is considered an assetAbout the JobLocation:Ottawa, ONWork Arrangement:Hybrid (3 days per week in office)Hours:37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, regular business hours with occasional evening or weekend work)Salary:$51,000 - $80,000 annuallyBenefits:Comprehensive total rewards package including health and dental benefits, a 6% employer pension contribution, three weeks' vacation, generous paid leave, professional development opportunities, and an employee recognition program#LI-Hybrid #LI-CA1#J-18808-Ljbffr
