As a growing practice, we are expanding our clinical services and are looking for a Nurse Practitioner to provide walk-in primary care services for an upcoming clinic we are building.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner who enjoys practicing independently while working alongside a team of healthcare professionals committed to improving access to care in our community.

Located near a pharmacy that provides patient-focused healthcare through a wide range of pharmacy and clinical services, including:

- Walk-in primary care
- Minor illness assessment and treatment
- Prescription dispensing and medication management
- Prescription renewals and adaptations
- Vaccinations and injections
- Comprehensive medication reviews
- Travel health consultations
- Weight management services
- Skincare consultations
- Chronic disease management and preventive healthcare

What You'll Do

As our Walk-In Clinic Nurse Practitioner, you will:

- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and common primary care concerns.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging as appropriate.
- Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide preventative healthcare, health promotion, and patient education.
- Manage episodic illnesses and support patients with chronic health conditions when appropriate.
- Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare providers as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.




- Collaborate closely with pharmacists to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the growth and development of our expanding clinical services.
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care.

What We're Looking For

- Licensed Nurse Practitioner in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for providing accessible, patient-centred primary care.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Experience in primary care, urgent care, family practice, or walk-in clinic settings is preferred but not required.
