Responsible for all financial operations, including accounting, payroll, and financial reporting
Support the development, monitoring, and analysis of annual budgets and forecast
Monitor cash flow and ensure effective financial planning and controls are in place and being followed
Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records
Ensure that timely and accurate accounts payable and receivable processes, including reconciliations, are being conducted in line with organizational policies and funding agreements
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage all government remittances
Lead year-end processes, including audit preparation and coordination with external auditors
Prepare payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting
Oversee the administration of employee benefits and related financial programs
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in collaboration with senior leadership team and existing organizational software and database system
Maintain financial policies and ensure compliance with internal controls
Provide financial analysis and insights to support leadership decision-making Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5–7 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within a nonprofit workplace or an environment with comparable complexity of funding streams and timelines
In-depth knowledge of accounting and finance principles
Proven experience processing and overseeing full-cycle accounting and payroll functions
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance requirements
Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting system and advanced Excel skills
Experience with MS365 Teams and SharePoint
Experience with payroll systems and government remittances
