Become a Cultural Connections Facilitator at Kikosewin Hub in Edmonton, AB. Your work will empower Indigenous families by connecting them to their culture, language, and community through engaging programming.
This role offers a unique chance to join Kikosewin, a Cree-named hub dedicated to supporting Indigenous children, youth, and families. You will split time planning cultural events, leading skill-building activities, and providing individual mentorship to families receiving intensive services. Your efforts will enhance access to culturally grounded services in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and lead cultural ceremonies and seasonal events • Facilitate traditional skill-building activities like drum making • Deliver in-home cultural mentorship for families • Connect families with Elders and relevant ceremonies • Maintain necessary cultural documentation for reporting needs
Requirements: • Human Services degree or diploma preferred • Strong knowledge of Indigenous culture and traditions • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience • Valid driver’s license and insurance coverage • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
