Job Summary The Onshore Drilling Coordinator is responsible for the management of the onshore warehouse. This includes drilling material knowledge, goods issues, verification of material, oversee flow of materials to and from the warehouse, management of day-to-day activities in the onshore warehouse.
Duties and responsibilities
- Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments as per receiving and shipping schedules or department priorities.
- Coordinate the movement of material to offshore installations as well as around town to specified vendors.
- Supervise the preparation of material in conjunction with the Warehouse Supervisor to be shipped offshore via vessel or helicopter.
- Work with Client, Vendors, Offshore Stores, and Warehouse Staff to rectify material discrepancies.
- Inspection and verification of material for/with the client along with ensuring material is accessible for viewing.
- Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records.
- Provides accurate and timely documentation of material and product movement.
- Oversee loading and unloading of material to ensure the task is completed safely and efficiently.
- General office duties.
- Utilizing various warehouse management and logistical systems to ensure material accuracy, material traceability, adequate manifesting and loadout request submittal.
- Prepare shipping documentation for Air and Marine dangerous goods
- Work with Inventory Manager to optimize space and provide support during inventory counts.
Qualifications
- 1 – 3 years supervisory experience
- SAP/equivalent inventory management program an asset
- Positive attitude and desire to help others
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Responsible and works well with others and independently.
- Good under high pressure situations
- Strong communication and personable nature
- Experience with inventory management software
- Proficiency in MS Office Word and Excel.
- Experience with logistics/materials in the oil & gas industry.
- Knowledge of drilling materials
Working Conditions This position is full-time employment. Office/Warehouse setting, although you may be required to work in outdoor elements depending on task required. The employee must be comfortable working around heavy equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. Administrative duties will be required on a daily/weekly basis.
Physical Requirements
Within standard office and warehouse environment, light to moderate lifting may be required.
