Support newcomer youth in Regina as a Part time Youth Worker at Regina Open Door Society. Your role will focus on building community ties and organized programming.
As part of RODS' youth program, you will assist newcomer youth in integrating into their communities. Applicants should have a background in Social Sciences or related fields, alongside experience working with at-risk youth. Your responsibilities will include event planning, facilitating workshops, and helping to create valuable support networks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build relationships with immigrant and refugee youth and families
• Organize and facilitate workshops on diverse topics
• Provide information and orientation to newcomer youth
• Plan, organize,
and evaluate youth activities
• Collaborate with community organizations for program delivery
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Social Sciences or Youth Development
• 2 to 3 years working with at-risk youth
• Strong event planning and facilitation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Reliable vehicle and valid Saskatchewan driver's license
Foster community connections and support through effective programming and engagement with youth.
