Pro Pacific Hazmat a well-established Hazmat and Demolition company on Vancouver Island and is s looking for an experienced, organized, and hands-on Operations Manager to join our growing team.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations, coordinating crews and jobs, managing equipment and warehouse operations, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate daily crew schedules and job assignments
- Oversee field crews, Team Leads, and Technicians
- Ensure crews have the appropriate equipment, PPE, materials, and documentation for each job
- Coordinate job starts, site logistics, equipment deliveries, bins, and material orders
- Monitor job progress and address operational issues as they arise
- Manage warehouse organization, inventory, equipment, and supplies
- Order materials, consumables, PPE, equipment, and other job requirements
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, and readiness
- Ensure vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment are maintained and available
- Review scopes of work and communicate job requirements to crews
- Work closely with Project Coordinators, Estimators, Supervisors, and Management
- Assist with planning and coordinating larger demolition, asbestos, hazmat, and restoration projects
- Ensure company procedures, WorkSafeBC requirements, and secure work practices are followed
- Conduct or assist with toolbox meetings, site checks, and operational inspections
- Help troubleshoot staffing, scheduling, equipment, and site issues
- Track job productivity, hours, materials, equipment, and operational costs
- Maintain accurate operational records and documentation
- Support continuous improvement of company systems and procedures
- Provide leadership, direction, and accountability to the field team
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in operations, construction, restoration, remediation, demolition, or a related industry is an asset
- Strong leadership and crew-management skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities at the same time
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on setting
- Good understanding of construction site operations and safety
- Ability to read and understand scopes of work and project requirements
- Computer and administrative skills is an asset
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Experience with asbestos/hazmat remediation or restoration is an asset
- WorkSafeBC safety knowledge and relevant industry certifications are an asset

The successful candidate will be dependable, proactive, organized, and able to make decisions quickly when operational challenges arise.
