- Share insights and updates through reports for internal teams and BC Transit.
- Collaborate with leaders to keep service reliable and continuously improving.
- Step into leadership roles when needed, including supporting the AGM.
- Contribute ideas and insights that help shape how operations run.
The impact you’ll make
- You’ll keep communities moving by ensuring protected, reliable, and on-time transit service every day.
- You’ll drive a strong safety-first culture that protects employees, passengers, and the public.
- You’ll solve real-time operational challenges and make decisions that directly impact service delivery.
- You’ll enhance the customer experience by addressing issues and continuously improving operations.
- You’ll support employment opportunities in your community through hiring, training, and succession planning.
- You’ll play a key role in shaping operational strategy and supporting long-term success at the location.
What you bring

- Experience managing front-line operational staff in unionized environments, an asset.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations,
safety standards, and hours-of-service requirements.
- Srong verbal and written communication and de-escalation skills with a fair and professional approach to resolving workplace conflicts.
- Experience with dispatch, scheduling, or transit operations preferred.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to make quick and effective decisions during service disruptions, severe weather, and vehicle breakdowns.
