Our client, an established Public Sector employer in British Columbia, is seeking an Operations Technology to join their team.

This role will perform supervised engineering tasks to support industrial control system (ICS) and operational technology (OT) network solutions safely, with quality, within budget, and on time across major generation facility projects.

This is a 2 year contract with potential to extend. We have placed multiple people with this organisation and know the hiring teams well.

What You’ll Do

- Support Generation Capital Project OT Services activities from design through implementation and commissioning
- Support project and construction teams throughout all phases of project delivery as the primary contact for status tracking and technical coordination
- Design, implement, and support industrial control system (ICS) and operational technology (OT) network solutions for generation facilities
- Develop and maintain ICS network architectures to support operational, cybersecurity, reliability, and business requirements
- Design and integrate ICS devices and communication equipment into Generation Plant local area networks
- Support capital, maintenance, lifecycle replacement, and cybersecurity projects related to generation infrastructure
- Participate in engineering design reviews, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning,



and field implementation
- Liaise with cross-functional groups to define technical requirements and develop engineering solutions
- Update and maintain generation network infrastructure drawings using AutoCAD
- Support project work packages related to plant LAN design, device integration, and NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) compliance
- Create and maintain work instructions, technical procedures, job aids, and engineering documentation

What You Bring

- University degree in Electrical, Computer, Systems, Software, or Applied Science Engineering
- Registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Geoscientist-in-Training (GIT) in BC
- 2-4 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably supporting capital or industrial infrastructure projects
- Hands-on familiarity with AutoCAD, CAD systems, standard design software, and engineering drawing standards
- Understanding of industrial control systems (ICS), operational technology (OT), and communication networks
- Strong communication skills with the ability to prepare technical reports, process diagrams, and present information to stakeholders
- Knowledge or experience with NERC CIP compliance standards is considered a solid asset
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, Visio, and standard MS Office tools
