Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Ophthalmology Site Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our ophthalmology clinic. This pivotal role combines leadership, administrative expertise, and clinical coordination to ensure exceptional patient care, efficient workflow, and compliance with healthcare standards. Duties
- Manage daily clinic operations, ensuring smooth patient flow and high-quality service delivery in a fast-paced ophthalmology setting
- Supervise clinical and administrative staff, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations to promote team excellence
- Oversee scheduling, staffing levels, and resource allocation to optimize clinic efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as Accuro or similar platforms, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
- Coordinate with medical professionals to facilitate patient appointments, follow-ups, and treatment plans
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and industry standards in all operational aspects
- Collaborate with human resources on hiring processes, staff development initiatives, and resolving personnel issues
- Support onboarding of new staff members by providing orientation on clinic procedures and policies
- Liaise with hospital or specialty care facilities as needed for patient referrals or specialized treatments
Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing a medical office environment with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of electronic medical records systems such as Accuro or comparable platforms
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to ophthalmology or general healthcare settings
- Prior experience working in hospital or acute care environments is highly desirable
- Background in human resources practices including staff recruitment, training, and performance management
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Experience supervising teams in fast-paced settings such as hospitals or clinics is preferred
- Background in nursing or healthcare administration is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and workflows
- Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory role in an ophthalmic setting preferred
