Dr. Patricia Fink Optometrist and Associates is looking to add a full time Optometric Assistant to our busy Optometry practice in Burlington, Ontario. Our office is passionate through teamwork to efficiently provide excellent patient care. We strive to maintain balance, fairness and integrity in all we do.
The ideal candidate will have optometric experience, be personable, efficient and comfortable working in a rapid paced environment. Salary and hours preference will be based on experience.
You will be responsible for:
● Greeting patients in a friendly and professional manner and explaining initial pre-exam procedures.
● Review patient’s previous eye exam to determine any necessary follow-up procedures.
● Assess patient’s current concerns for eye exam and document on file.
● Perform additional testing at Doctors request.
● Assist Optometrists in any extra duties.
● General office clean-up on assigned days.
Requirements:
● Ability to handle competing priorities and can multitask in a fast paced environment
● Excellent customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills, and can work well under pressure in a calm and effective manner
● Helpful, outgoing, team player who enjoys taking initiative
● Completion of high school education
