Role Description This part time Packaging Designer role is a hybrid position based in Montreal, QC, with a mix of in-studio collaboration and work-from-home flexibility.

The Packaging

Designer will develop packaging concepts from initial sketches to production-ready files, aligning designs with brand vision and project goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating dielines, selecting materials and finishes, refining typography and layouts, and preparing print-ready artwork. The role involves close collaboration with the studio team on branding and product design, participating in critiques, and iterating based on feedback.

The Packaging





Designer will also liaise with printers or manufacturers when needed to ensure quality and feasibility of final packaging.

Qualifications

- Strong packaging design skills, including concept development, dieline creation, and preparing production-ready files.
- Experience with branding and visual identity, with the ability to translate brand stories into cohesive packaging systems.
- Proficiency in graphic design and product design, with a portfolio that demonstrates both aesthetic sensibility and practical thinking.
- Solid typography skills, including hierarchy, legibility, and expressive type choices suited to packaging contexts.
- Advanced skills in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign or equivalents).
- Ability to work part-time on a hybrid schedule in Montreal, QC, balancing independent work with in-studio collaboration.
- Attention to detail, strong organization, and comfort working with multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience working with printers, packaging suppliers, or understanding of print and manufacturing processes is an asset.
- Relevant education or training in graphic design, industrial design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
