Wellington Brewery | Guelph, ON
At Wellington Brewery, we’ve been crafting beer with purpose since 1985. While we’re proud of our roots in craft beer, we’re equally focused on our future - continuing to innovate across beer, cider and ready-to-drink beverages while maintaining the quality and craftsmanship we’re known for.
We're looking for a Packaging Operator to join our Production team. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in producing quality products, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Packaging Operator, you'll play a critical role in preparing our products for customers across Ontario and beyond. You'll operate packaging equipment, perform quality checks, support sanitation activities, and help ensure products leave our facility safely and to specification.
Responsibilities include:
- Operating and monitoring packaging equipment including fillers, labelers, packers, palletizers, and associated systems.
- Performing quality checks throughout production to ensure products meet established standards.
- Completing equipment cleaning and sanitation procedures, including CIP activities.
- Conducting line inspections and identifying equipment, quality, or safety concerns.
- Loading packaging materials and moving finished products throughout the facility.
- Assisting with keg cleaning, filling, palletizing, repacks, and special packaging projects.
- Completing production records and documentation accurately.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and protected work environment.
- Following all GMP, food safety, quality, and safety requirements.
What You Bring
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, packaging, food and beverage, or related environment.
- Strong attention to detail,
commitment to quality and accountability for your work.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Forklift experience is considered an asset.
- Experience working in GMP, HACCP, or food manufacturing environments is considered an asset.
What Makes Someone Successful Here
- You take pride in producing quality work and doing things right.
- You notice when something doesn't look, sound, or feel right and aren't afraid to speak up.
- You enjoy working with equipment and figuring out how things work.
- You show up ready to contribute and support your team.
- You value safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- You enjoy learning new skills and continuously improving.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Comfortable standing, walking, twisting, lifting, climbing ladders and bending for extended periods.
- Able to work in hot, cold, wet, noisy, and physically demanding environments.
- Comfortable working around chemicals, hot liquids, machinery, and production equipment.
Why Work With Us At Wellington, you'll join a team that genuinely cares about quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We're large enough to offer interesting work and opportunities to grow,

We know great products come from great people, and we're committed to creating an environment where employees can learn, contribute, and take ownership of their work.
We offer a fun and inclusive environment that encourages employees to learn about beer, cider, and beverage manufacturing through product education, staff samplings, and company events. Along with competitive pay, you'll enjoy staff discounts, beer allotments, company gatherings, after-work pints, and the opportunity to work alongside people who genuinely enjoy what they do.
This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in beverage manufacturing and gain exposure to packaging operations, quality systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
