Junior Painter
We are looking for a Junior Painter to join our residential and commercial painting team. This is a great chance for someone who is hardworking, reliable, eager to learn, and interested in developing a career in the painting industry.
Little or no professional painting experience is required. We are willing to train the right person who has a positive attitude, takes pride in their work, and is committed to learning proper painting and preparation techniques.
You will work alongside experienced painters and gain hands-on experience with residential and commercial projects, including custom homes and renovations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced painters with interior and exterior painting projects.
- Learn and perform proper wall preparation, including sanding, patching, scraping, caulking, and priming.
- Assist with preparing and painting trim, doors, baseboards, and other detailed surfaces.
- Learn proper brush and roller techniques.
- Assist with masking and protecting floors, windows, fixtures, furniture, and finished surfaces.
- Help with job-site setup, cleanup, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with loading, unloading, organizing, and maintaining painting tools and materials.
- Learn to properly use painting equipment and tools, including airless spray equipment as skills develop.
- Follow instructions from senior painters and supervisors.
- Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
- Develop skills and knowledge in preparation, painting, finishing, and job-site practices.
Requirements
- Little or no professional painting experience required.
- Willingness to learn the painting trade and develop current skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to follow directions and work well as part of a team.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to perform physical work, including standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, lifting materials, and working with your hands.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Previous construction, renovation, landscaping, maintenance, or other hands-on experience is an asset but not required.
- Valid driver's licence is an asset.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
