Overview

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Cabinet Painter / Sander to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, sanding, priming, painting, and finishing kitchen cabinets and other millwork to a high-quality professional standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Sand cabinet doors, drawers, boxes, and components to prepare surfaces for finishing.

- Fill imperfections, repair minor surface defects, and prepare materials for painting.

- Apply primer, paint, lacquer, or other finishing products using spray equipment and/or hand application.

- Achieve smooth, even, and consistent finishes with attention to detail.

- Properly mask and protect areas that should not be painted.

- Inspect finished products for defects, runs, sags, scratches, or uneven coverage.

- Perform touch-ups and corrections when required.

- Maintain and clean spray guns, sanding equipment, tools, and work areas.

- Follow company procedures for paint mixing, surface preparation, and finishing.

- Follow all workplace health and safety requirements.

- Work efficiently to meet production schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications & Skills





- Previous experience in cabinet painting, sanding, furniture finishing, automotive painting, or a related field is an asset.

- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

- Ability to operate sanding tools and spray-painting equipment safely.

- Good understanding of surface preparation and paint/finish application.

- Ability to identify and correct finishing defects.

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

- Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift/move cabinet components.

- Willingness to learn company-specific finishing techniques and procedures.

Pay: $18.25-$22.00 per hour
