Located in downtown Montreal, our client, a renowned law firm, is looking for a paralegal to work with the bank financing team.

YOUR ROLE:

As a finance paralegal, you will support the lawyers in their various mandates.

Your responsibilities will include

- Preparing loan documents, mortgages, bonds, corporate resolutions, and other documents related to bank financing transactions;
- Corresponding with other parties involved in the transactions (including the attorneys of the various stakeholders and the clients directly);
- Performing research in various public databases such as REQ, RDPRM, Bank Act, Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy, CIPO, etc.
- Analyzing the research and preparing related reports;
- Conducting audits to ensure that the conditions preceding disbursements are met;




- Performing registrations on Pan-Canadian real estate and personal property registries (and collaborate with professionals in other jurisdictions as required);
- Performing various legal research and work on special projects upon request.

SKILLS REQUIRED :

- DCS in paralegal technology or any other relevant training;
- Good level of bilingualism, spoken and written;
- Knowledge and/or experience in bank financing (an asset);
- Analytical, writing and meticulous skills;
- Team player and good interpersonal skills;
- Organizational skills and ability to manage several files at once.
