Make a difference in the lives of marginalized youth with Chippewas of the Thames First Nation as a Youth Harm Reduction Outreach Worker. This role involves community outreach, support, and education around harm reduction practices.
The Youth Harm Reduction Outreach Worker position is with the Health Department at the Chippewa Health Centre in Muncey, ON. You will deliver essential harm reduction supplies while incorporating cultural frameworks and education on HIV, HCV, and related health issues. This 37.5-hour workweek may require flexible schedule on evenings and weekends, along with travel.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver harm reduction materials to individuals in need
• Educate community on HIV, HCV, and related illnesses




• Provide referrals for health promotion and community resources
• Develop and present education programs to target populations
• Maintain relationships with community partner agencies
Requirements:
• Education in Addictions or Human Services
• Three years’ experience in Harm Reduction and addiction
• Knowledge of First Nations culture and health issues
• Valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
Support youth with harm reduction strategies while embracing cultural teachings in this outreach position.
