Job Overview The Paw Valley is a high-energy, structured dog daycare where dogs thrive — and so do our team members. We’re looking for a motivated, reliable, and dog-loving individual to join us as a Dog Daycare Attendant. This role is active, fast-paced, and hands-on, ideal for someone who enjoys being outdoors, loves working with both dogs and people, and is ready to learn.

Each staff member is responsible for supervising a small group of up to 15 dogs, ensuring their safety, managing group dynamics, and making sure they’re happy, exercised, and cared for throughout the day. You’ll be part of a supportive team (2–3 staff per shift) that works together to create a clean, fun, and professional environment for dogs of all breeds and sizes.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage assigned playgroups of up to 15 dogs
- Monitor dog behavior to ensure safe, positive interactions
- Escort dogs between play areas, feeding stations, rest zones, and entry/exit points
- Greet owners during drop-off and pick-up, and provide daily feedback about their dog's day
- Feed lunches and ensure dogs have access to clean water at all times
- Follow The Paw Valley’s structured schedule, including scheduled rest and play periods
- Use company phone to take photos of dogs for social media (posting handled by management)
- Clean and sanitize indoor/outdoor areas: pick up waste, mop, sweep,



vacuum, etc.
- Work in all types of weather, including heat, snow, and rain
- Use safe handling and redirection techniques with high-energy dogs
- Report behavior or health concerns to the manager
- Follow all safety, care, and cleaning protocols

Physical Requirements

- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and move for long periods
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must be able to handle dogs weighing 20lbs–110lbs
- Quick reflexes and strong situational awareness are a must

Job Requirements

- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Must have previous experience around dogs (personal or professional)
- Comfortable with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and energy levels ; no fear or hesitation handling large or high-energy dogs
- Physically fit, able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout the shift (walking, standing, bending, etc.)
- Willing and able towork outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, snow, rain, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills (especially when monitoring dog behavior)
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow structured routines
- Must be punctual, dependable, and self-motivated
- Must be people-friendly and enjoy speaking with clients — you'll be chatting with pet parents daily
- Positive attitude and a genuine love for dogs is a must
- Pet First Aid certification is required (we will pay for training if not already certified)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $16.00-$19.27 per hour
