About the Job

We are currently looking for part-time Market Specialists to work in our On-Farm Market for 10-20 hours per week. In this role you will gain a wide variety of experience from sorting produce, setting up and stripping produce displays, restocking, inventory counts, greeting and serving customers, maintaining a safe shopping environment, along with other interesting and different tasks like fulfilling online grocery orders or taking customer orders for special events.

Important Details:

- Part time: 10-20 hours per week. 2 or 3 shifts through the week or weekend as scheduled, with the potential for more hours
- Hours: 4-6 hour shifts focusing in the afternoon until close (6pm or 7pm)
- Pay: Minimum wage to start with the opportunity to grow
- Incentives: 25% discount on most things in the Market (and amazing teammates!)
- Seasonal: March/April to December, brief seasonal break

Responsibilities

- Sort, prep, and trim produce, then stock displays – high quality produce is our top priority!
- Continually checking produce displays and restocking to ensure the look and feel of the Market is consistent




- Assist the team in ensuring the store is disinfected for safe shopping
- Pricing, counting, or reviewing the products on the shelves and repositioning when needed
- Ensure the Market is clean and tidy, floors are swept, shelves are clean and cooler doors are wiped down
- Serve all customers with a positive and professional attitude!

About You

Do you have:

- Previous retail or produce experience?
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities with a smile on your face?
- The ability to frequently lift 50 lbs (bags of potatoes, etc)?
- Smart Serve and Food Handler Certification is a must, but Lee & Maria’s will work with the successful candidate to obtain these certifications and will reimburse costs after the successful completion of the probationary period
