Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Ontario certified part-time teachers to deliver academic enrichment programs in Math and English for students ages 3–15. Ideal candidates are passionate about helping children succeed and comfortable teaching across elementary and secondary levels.

Responsibilities

- Teach Math and English (reading & writing strategies) in small groups (1:4 ratio).
- Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and answer keys—no prep required.
- Track student progress and share feedback with parents and center administrators.
- Create a positive, engaging learning environment that encourages participation.
- Assess student understanding through activities, assignments, and observations.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and center staff.
- Maintain strong classroom organization and time‑management.

Requirements

- Classroom or tutoring experience teaching elementary or secondary students.
- Ability to teach both Math and English.
- Strong communication skills; patient, encouraging, and student‑focused.
- Experience working with children in educational settings.
- Excellent organization and time‑management skills.
- Bilingual English/French is an asset.
- OCT certification

Qualifications

- College diploma or university degree, preferably in Math and/or English, Education, Communications, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in teaching Math and English language, public speaking concepts to children and youth.




- Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt lessons to different learning styles.
- Passion for education and helping students develop confidence in communication.
- Ability to motivate students and create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.

Experience

- Previous experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or coaching Math, English, communication, drama, debate, or public speaking.
- Experience working with children or youth in a classroom, tutoring center, extracurricular program, or similar educational setting.
- Experience preparing and delivering presentations, speeches, workshops, or interactive learning activities.
- Experience working with students from diverse age groups and learning backgrounds is an asset.

Schedule

- Tuesday: 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM
- Thursday: 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:30 AM – 12:40 PM
