The Bulkley Valley Regional Pool & Recreation Centre is a community recreation centre like no other! Built and operated by the not-for-profit Bulkley Valley Aquatic Centre Management Society the recreation centre features a 4-lane 25m main pool, leisure lagoon, tot pool, 25 person hot tub, sauna, fitness studio, indoor rock climbing wall and squash/racquetball courts

We’re looking for responsible, hard working and enthusiastic individuals with a passion for aquatics and recreation to come to join the permanent staff team!

Part-time or Full-time Lifeguard/Instructor 2/3

Minimum Qualifications

· National Lifeguard

· Swim for Life Instructor

· Standard First Aid & CPR “C”

Desired Qualifications

· 2+ years lifeguarding/Teaching

· Lifesaving Instructor

· Certified AquaFit Instructor

· Belay Ticket

· Pool Operator Level I & II

This position offers regular working hours and shifts will have the potential to include early mornings, late-night, weekend shifts. Part time position works, a minimum of 25 hours per week with opportunity for more hours and must meet the position availability requirements.



Full-time is 38 hours a week.

Following a successful 3-month probation period, employees are eligible to receive a subsidized comprehensive benefits package including sick time, medical and dental coverage.

Principle responsibilities include: working to ensure the safety and enjoyment of those engaged in activities at the facility, delivery of recreation services, and programs, and performing lifeguarding, instructional, and janitorial tasks related to the operation of the facility. This position also includes the responsibility of opening and closing the building.

The wage range $24.24- $29.31
