Cambrian College’s School of Skills Training is seeking part time professors to teach in the Powerline Technician program starting in September 2026.

Qualifications
Required:
- Powerline Technician (434A) Certificate of Qualification is required; a Powerline Technician Certificate of Apprenticeship is considered an asset (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application)
- Minimum five years of practical work experience in distribution at the Journeyperson level is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and superior oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to be an effective role model in the classroom.
- Ability to use creative teaching approaches and current and emerging teaching and learning strategies to enhance student progress.
- Possess good organizational skills and sound computer software skills.
- Ability to function within a team environment.
Additional Assets/Preferred:
- Postsecondary diploma in Powerline Technician or Advanced Diploma.
- Previous teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
- Experience with apprenticeship mentorship, adult or post-secondary level teaching is considered an asset.
- Overhead or utility experience is considered an asset.

- Journeyperson Red Seal Certification or Certificate of Qualification
- Electrical licensure
