Nexus Massage & Rehab is a busy multidisciplinary clinic at Yonge & Eglinton. We are hiring a part time Receptionist to cover a one year leave, starting as soon as possible.

Our receptionist is the first person our patients see and the first voice they hear, and sets the tone for the entire visit. We are looking for someone warm and outgoing who also brings structure, follow through and professionalism to a busy front desk.

This is an entry level position. Extensive experience is not required. We are more interested in your attitude, your work ethic and your willingness to learn.

THE ROLE:

Part-time, averaging approximately 25 hours per week. Hours may be higher or lower depending on the needs of the clinic. One year contract covering a team member's leave $17.60 to $19.50 per hour, based on experience

Start date: As soon as possible. There may be an opportunity for a permanent position at the end of the contract, based on the clinic's staffing needs and performance in the role.

AVAILABILITY:

Flexibility is a priority for us. Shifts can start as early as 7:45 AM and end as late as 9:30 PM, and weekend availability is required. Your schedule will be set with you and will vary with the needs of the clinic.

EXPERIENCE WE VALUE: The following are not required, but will be considered an asset:

- Front desk experience in a clinic, spa or medical office.
- Insurance billing (Telus Health, Provider Connect, Blue Cross, Sun Life)
- Experience with ClinicSense, Jane or a similar booking system

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Greet patients, answer the phone and deliver a high standard of customer service
- Book appointments, check patients in and out, process payments and issue receipts
- Submit insurance claims and resolve billing questions
- Manage emails and messages, and respond to patient concerns professionally
- Recommend and book additional services where appropriate for the patient
- Handle laundry, including receiving, washing, drying, folding and stocking linens
- Maintain clinic cleanliness, stock supplies and care for the clinic plants
- Identify and report clinic issues promptly
- De-escalate any customer issues in a kind and professional manner
