Duties
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and medical terminology standards
- Provide expert consultation to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy plans
- Assist in medication inventory management
- Educate patients on proper medication adherence
- Administer medications by injection
- provide various clinical services including medication reviews
Qualifications
- Valid pharmacist license with current registration in Alberta
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting while managing multiple priorities efficiently
- Injection certification
- Advanced prescribing
