Paver Operator

DeFord Contracting Inc. is looking for an experienced and hardworking Paver Operator for Civil Construction city projects in and around the Greater Edmonton Area.

Responsibilities:

- Safely and efficiently operate paving equipment on a variety of projects.
- Monitor paver operation to ensure consistent quality, depth, and alignment.
- Work closely with the paving crew, ensuring smooth and effective project execution.
- Perform daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow project specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain a safe work workplace by adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with other tasks on the paving crew as needed to support project progress.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating a paver




- Strong understanding of paving techniques, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Ability to read and follow plans, grades, and project specifications.
- MUST possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license; Class 3 considered an asset
