Position Title: Payroll and Benefits Administrator
Reports To: Director of Finance
Location: Surrey, BC
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Payroll and Benefits Administrator is responsible for the accurate, timely, and confidential administration of payroll, benefits, and employee records. This role ensures compliance with applicable legislation and company policies, supports employees with payroll and benefits-related matters, maintains accurate reporting and documentation, and collaborates with Finance, Human Resources, and other departments to support business operations and employee lifecycle activities.
Position Responsibilities
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Process and administer payroll and employee benefits accurately, confidentially, and in compliance with applicable legislation and company policies
- Prepare payroll and tax-related documentation, remittances, year-end reporting, and other regulatory filings
- Conduct regular payroll and benefits audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance
Employee Support & Records Management
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including compensation, benefits, and leave information
- Serve as a primary resource for employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and related programs
- Support recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities, including enrollment in benefit programs
Compliance, Policies & Continuous Improvement
- Develop, maintain, and update payroll, benefits, and HR policies, procedures, documentation, and employee materials
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and recommend process improvements to enhance compliance, efficiency, and internal controls
- Participate in benefits reviews, renewals, and professional development activities to support best practices
Reporting & Administrative Support
- Prepare and maintain payroll,
benefits, and workforce-related reports, reconciliations, and records
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable teams to support operational and reporting requirements

Qualifications & Skills
· Minimum of 2 years' experience in payroll administration or a similar role with a proven track record of success
· Completion of NPI (National Payroll Institute) PCP Program, or current enrollment with an expected completion date, or a combination of equivalent training and experience
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills to manipulate and analyze complex data sets with ease
· Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
· Experience with HRIS systems and payroll software, such as ADP, is advantageous
Salary Range
· $50,000-$55,000 per year
