PCM Work Program Manager - Lines Portfolio (various locations)

Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Versatile Work Role: Hybrid

Annual salary: $ 109,700.00 - 138,700.00

What you'll do

These positions can be based in numerous BC Hydro offices, including Prince George, Kamloops, Victoria, Nanaimo,

Edmonds (Lower Mainland) and others, subject to space availability and business requirements. Preferred location will be discussed with shortlisted candidates during the interview process.

- Provide oversight and accountability to assigned provincial and regional programs related to the maintenance of

transmission lines.
- Work with Transmission Sustainment Planning to prioritize, estimate and schedule work.
- Lead Annual Work Planning Meetings providing visibility and oversight to annual scopes.
- Define and implement programs within established budget, scope and schedule while meeting quality and safety

objectives.
- Work with internal delivery partners in Engineering, Interconnections, Procurement, Environment, Indigenous Relations

and Safety to ensure compliance in field work.
- Coordinate work and permits with external parties which could include Municipalities, Landowners, other Utilities and bulk

customers.
- Work with delivery resources in Field Operations,



Construction Services and contractors to complete work and to deliver

programs on time and on budget.
- Monitor program progress and implement change control as necessary.
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize efficiency and delivery of programs.
- Lead initiatives to improve processes and procedures related to the delivery of work.
- Responsible for monthly reporting of progress or risks in regard to programs assigned.
- Approval of procurement commitments and payments within assigned programs.
- Identify and explore innovative technologies, processes, and products that enhance program delivery.
- Depending on situation may be asked to assist in provincial emergency response.
- Work is primarily office based but does include some fieldwork.

What you bring

- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Forestry, Math or Accounting equivalent, or a background in Contract

Management (i.e. contract professional or equivalent). Applicants with a Diploma in Technology from an Institute of Technology are also eligible, provided they have relevant field experience in project management or work execution.
- Intermediate technical knowledge in a specific field (i.e. Engineering, Technical, Trade, Business, Finance or Sciences)

with some general knowledge of other fields.
- 3-5 years of experience in program or project management (preferably in a utility, engineering, natural resource setting or

construction environment).
- The successful candidate must have a keen grasp of program / project management, various delivery models, contracting

strategies, building process flows.
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is considered

an asset.
- Solid program / project management skills, strong relationship,



facilitation and management skills and the ability to work

in an unstructured environment.
- Must be able to effectively manage multi-discipline program teams and oversee external contractors.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively to

both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical skills to identify gaps and opportunities for process improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including asset managers, engineers, contractors,

Indigenous relations, safety, environmental teams, property managers, and field crews—critical to success in this role.
- The successful candidate must have experience with SAP, Excel, Tableau to be able to be able to track and report on

Transmission Program Progress and Processes.
- Diploma in Business Administration (with coursework or experience in business and/or data analysis and modelling) or an

equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three (3) years of demonstrated work experience in analysis and troubleshooting with exposure to metering and field

device network systems, processes, routines, and procedures or equivalent demonstrated work experience. What we offer
