Become a vital part of Moose Cree First Nations as a Circle Facilitator focused on child and family well-being in Moose Factory, ON. This role prioritizes mediation, cultural support, and alternative dispute resolution.
Reporting to the Director of Child and Family Well-Being, the Circle Facilitator is responsible for preparing and facilitating circles. This position involves ensuring adherence to policies while providing necessary referrals. You will work closely with both the Cultural Services Supervisor and community members to uphold legislative standards and support the well-being of children, youth, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and facilitate circles for conflict resolution • Interpret family service policies and legislative standards • Make referrals to alternative dispute resolution processes • Collaborate with team members and community stakeholders • Respect and integrate Indigenous culture and values into practices
Requirements: • BSW or relevant Indigenous Services diploma required • Knowledge of Circle Facilitation and dispute resolution • Familiarity with child welfare case management principles • Strong understanding of Indigenous children's welfare • Valid Ontario Class G1 license and criminal record clearance
