Marie, ON, the Structural Engineering Internwill report to the Project Manager and will have a wide range of duties. You will be part of a team that offers services to private and government sector clients throughout Ontario and provides engineering solutions for bridges, buildings, and utility scale power generating facilities. This is a new position. The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $92,000 annually.What You’ll Do:As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will:Perform pre-engineering inspections and surveysComplete, check, and review technical deliverables including reports, technical notes, drawings, and engineering calculationsPrepare plans, proposals, specifications, supporting documents, reports, and permit applicationsComplete preliminary and detailed design and specifications for structural projects (e.G. transportation structures and commercial, residential, and industrial buildings)Assist with tenders, proposals, and cost estimatesParticipate in public and stakeholder consultationPerform construction inspectionsAssist with project management and construction administrationPlease note that this job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility that will ever be required of an employee in the job.Who You Are:You are a registered Civil Engineering InternYou have 0-3 years of experience in the civil/structural consulting industryBuilding Code knowledge and/or a BCIN is considered an assetYou are proficient in AutoCADBridge design experience is an assetYou are willing to travel when necessaryYou can exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectivesYou are not afraid to raise your hand when you need help or guidanceWhat You Should Bring:The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
