Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support clients with medication administration following prescribed instructions and safety protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive environment
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living space
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members
- Support clients with mobility exercises and assistive device use to promote independence
Requirements
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience caring for seniors or individuals with disabilities, including dementia care
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety standards
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation efficiently and safely
- Valid certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or equivalent recognized credential
- Experience working with individuals with special needs or complex health conditions is an asset
