Responsibilities

- Support clients with medication administration according to prescribed schedules and protocols.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to help reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic living environment.
- Monitor clients’ health status, report changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Assist with mobility aids and transfer techniques to ensure safety during movement or repositioning.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience caring for seniors or individuals with disabilities, including dementia care.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols.
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks and meal preparation efficiently.
- Certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or equivalent is an asset but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided if needed.
- Ability to work independently while following care plans and instructions accurately.
