Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to enhance their comfort and independence
- Support with medication administration following prescribed instructions to ensure safety and adherence
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive environment for clients
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living space
- Monitor clients’ health status, report changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals
- Assist with transfers, positioning,
and mobility exercises to prevent falls and promote physical activity
Skills
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly valued
- Robust background in senior care, home care, or caregiving roles with a focus on compassionate support
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care needs is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining hygiene standards
- Demonstrated ability to prepare meals that meet specific dietary restrictions or preferences
