Job Title: Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Casual / On-Call (Facility Relief & Home Care)

Pay: $23.00 – $26.00 per hour (+ shift premiums for weekend & emergency coverage)

About TruCare Support Services

TruCare Support Services is a licensed Ontario Temporary Help Agency providing qualified healthcare professionals to healthcare and home-care organizations across the GTA. We are looking for compassionate and reliable Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our team.

Responsibilities

- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
- Support mobility, transfers and positioning as required
- Assist with meals and basic household tasks related to client care
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Observe and report changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professional
- Follow individualized care plans and employer/facility policies
- Maintain accurate documentation and client confidentiality
- Follow infection prevention and workplace safety procedures




- Work collaboratively with nurses, families and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

- Valid PSW certificate from a recognized Ontario program
- Current CPR/First Aid
- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC), as required
- TB screening/immunization documentation as required by the assignment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation may be required depending on the assignment
- Previous healthcare or long-term-care experience is an asset
