We are seeking a passionate full time Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in food service and a genuine love for creating delicious Italian cuisine. This role requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Looking to cross train on pizza station (wood fired napoletana) and pasta station.
Duties
- Strong communication skills to coordinate orders between both lines
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to health regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of other menu items as needed.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety standards.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for meal preparation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others in the kitchen.
