Become a key player in Vulcan County as a Planning Expert, focusing on land use and development in beautiful southern Alberta. You will manage planning applications and ensure compliance with regulations. In this role, the Land Use Planner provides essential services for land use planning and subdivision processes.
You will assess complex applications, create planning documents, and provide expert advice to government officials and the community on legal and planning matters. Key Responsibilities:
- Process complex planning applications accurately
- Prepare planning analyses and recommendations
- Conduct site inspections and field reviews
- Coordinate referrals with municipal and provincial agencies
- Draft and present reports to County Council Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in urban planning or related discipline
- Membership eligibility with Alberta Qualified Planners Institute
- Experience in municipal planning preferred
- Knowledge of provincial and municipal legislation
