Position Overview
We are seeking 2 experienced Plant Process Operators to join our Oil and Gas client's operations team.
Plant Process Operator – 1st Class The 1st Class position offers the opportunity to work across any one of four facilities . The successful candidate will become familiar with all four plants, including plant-specific operating procedures, equipment, and operator rounds.
This role is well suited for an experienced operator with strong leadership capabilities who can adapt to different operating environments and contribute to safe, reliable plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform operator rounds and monitor plant equipment and processes
- Become familiar with operations at all four facilities
- Operate and monitor steam plants, pressure-generation equipment, and power-generation equipment
- Identify and respond to abnormal operating conditions
- Maintain accurate operating logs and documentation
- Follow all safety, environmental, and operating procedures
- Support troubleshooting, equipment checks, and routine plant operations
- Demonstrate leadership and provide guidance to other operators when required
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and operational discipline
Qualifications:
- 1st Class Power Engineer certification
- Previous industrial plant/process operating experience
- Strong understanding of steam,
pressure, and power-generation systems
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions
- Valid driver's licence and reliable personal vehicle required
- Ability to work a 7-on / 7-off rotating day and night shift schedule
Plant Process Operator – 2nd Class The 2nd Class position will be based at one facility, location to be determined . The successful candidate will be responsible for safe and reliable operation of the facility while working a rotating schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine operator rounds and monitor plant equipment
- Operate and monitor plant processes and equipment
- Monitor steam, pressure-generation, and power-generation systems
- Identify and report equipment or process abnormalities
- Maintain accurate logs and operating records
- Follow established safety, environmental, and operating procedures
- Assist with troubleshooting and routine plant activities
- Maintain a clean and safe operating environment
- Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams
Qualifications:
- 2nd Class Power Engineer certification
- Previous plant/process operating experience preferred
- Knowledge of steam and pressure-generation equipment
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work a 7-on / 7-off rotating day and night shift schedule
