Become a vital part of our team as a Custodian, ensuring a clean and safe setting. You will handle heavy cleaning tasks, including floors and windows, to enhance facility hygiene.
As a Custodian, you will focus on maintaining cleanliness around the premises. Your responsibilities include cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, and washing glass and walls. It’s vital to follow approved cleaning procedures and maintain infection control as you work in both patient and staff areas.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and dispose of trash per infection control guidelines
• Dust and damp mop floors consistently
• Move furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning
• Sanitize surfaces using assigned tools and materials
• Wash walls, windows, and other surfaces thoroughly
Requirements:
• Previous custodial or housekeeping experience preferred
• WHMIS and BSW Certifications are an asset
• Good command of English, verbal and written
• Ability to follow instructions accurately
• Physically able to perform all job aspects
