As part of our energetic and talented Shared Services team, this Temporary Full Time position is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support activities of Customer Experiences and Integrated Operations. The primary focus is revenue processing and donor thank you calls.
The Portfolio
Support, Revenue drives efficiency and service excellence through collaborating and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of our mission. This position reports to the Director, Customer Experiences and Integrated Operations.
About the role:
Revenue (Data Entry)
- Work involves utilizing data entry skills to verify information, enter data, and balance records related to processing donations and special events revenue.
- Makes thank you calls to donors.
- Tracks inventory of revenue processing envelopes
- Support other revenue processing activities as required.
Other Duties
- Maintains an understanding of and adheres to United Way policies, procedures and standards.
- Contributes to a positive and secure United Way culture by modeling the values we live by.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
About you: You have an interest in making a difference in our community and are eager to apply your customer service and relationship building skills to this role in supporting customer experiences.
You possess knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint as well as familiarity with formulas in MS Excel (Pivot tables, LOOKUP functions, macros, etc.) Must be thorough, accurate, and have a high attention to detail with good verbal, written communication skills along with your knowledge of financial management and donations software which are considered an asset.
You are proficient in data entry and office equipment operating skills including photocopier and adding machine. You must be organized and able to pivot priorities and answer ad-hoc requests in a timely manner as well as operate with a strong customer service focus, both towards the United Way’s external and internal customers. You are self-driven, demonstrating accountability, and striving for operational excellence.
You have a high school diploma, a minimum of 6 months to 1 year of related experience. Certificate or diploma in finance or accounting as an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Experience entering and balancing large volumes of alpha and numeric data.
