Postdoctoral Fellow - NeuroOutcomes Lab

Position Description The NeuroOutcomes Lab is seeking an energetic, highly motivated candidate for a postdoctoral fellowship, conditional on receipt of internal funding, to start in early 2027.

The NeuroOutcomes Lab, directed by Dr.

Tricia

Williams, is a pediatric neuropsychology lab studying neurodevelopmental outcomes, assessment, and intervention for children with early acquired brain injury and complex medical conditions.

The successful candidate may lead projects focused on the following areas:

- Neurodevelopmental & behavioural outcomes of early acquired brain injury and complex medical conditions (e.g., preterm birth, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, congenital heart disease, perinatal stroke, etc.)
- Innovative, precision-based, and family-centered approaches to neuropsychological assessment and intervention for SickKids children and families
- Implementation, expansion, and innovation of the Interact-North virtual positive parenting program
- Advancements in artificial intelligence (AI)



for healthcare and neuropsychology

This position is conditional on receipt of funding. The successful candidate will be invited to collaborate on a proposal and application for internal funding with Dr. Williams. Funding applications are due October 9th, 2026. Upon successful receipt of funding, the fellowship is expected to begin in early 2027 (January/February). The Restracomp fellowship is valued at $60,000 per year for 2 years, plus a top up of $10,000 from the NeuroOutcomes Lab for a total compensation of $70,000 per year. Here's What You'll Get To Do

- Conduct novel research under the supervision of Dr.

Tricia

Williams

- Carry out research projects within the NeuroOutcomes Lab and contributes specialized expertise to ongoing team projects
- Performs advanced, highly proficient scientific work such as planning and conducting studies, analyzing and interpreting data, preparing and presenting reports and findings including peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts
- Provides direction within the research group on technical matters and remains informed on emerging research in the field
- Some mentorship of students and trainees involved

Here's What You'll Need

- PhD in clinical psychology (preferred) or a similar discipline (e.g., psychology, neuroscience, mental health, social sciences)
- A conceptual background in pediatric clinical neuropsychology, child development, the brain-behaviour connect, precision health, and family-centered care




- Experience and/or familiarity with AI for healthcare and/or neuropsychology applications is an asset (e.g., familiarity with machine learning techniques, AI-assisted screening and risk assessment)
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
