Nova Scotia Health seeks a Registered Pharmacy Technician to deliver patient-centered care in Dickson Building, QEII. This full time role involves medication preparation, patient support, and quality initiatives.
As part of the Pharmacy Operations team, you will ensure patient needs are met under pharmacist supervision. Key responsibilities include compounding medications, maintaining inventory control, and participating in safety programs. Your work will directly contribute to patient care and safety in a hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and package medications under pharmacist supervision
• Dispense unit dose medications to inpatients and outpatients
• Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
• Manage medication inventory and reconciliation processes
• Support special pharmacy projects and automation systems
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program
• Licensed in Nova Scotia as a Pharmacy Technician
• Experience with sterile techniques and chemotherapy
• BLS certification required
• Effective communication skills and mathematical proficiency
