Reporting to the Regional Sales Support Manager, the Sales Support Leader provides mentorship and direction to a team of Sales Support Associates. As part of the regional leadership team, this role will manage accountabilities related to all activities which fall under the umbrella of the current Sales Support Associate role and will provide support to our Account Executives for our small, mid and large-case markets in Group Benefits. In addition, this role will be responsible for the management of the Sales Support Associates operational activities, interviewing and onboarding staff, and conducting performance management to correct underperformance when required.

Finally, the leader in this role will be expected to support and action any strategic initiatives laid out by regional and national leadership.

What you will do:

Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to all Sales Support Associates in British Columbia

Maximize employee engagement, performance and development

Train and support current and new staff

Ensure operational tasks are completed; including quotes, amendments, renewals, distribution, commissions, SAR requests, onboarding/offboarding, and any other activity owned by Sales Support Associates

Support business objectives and quarterly regional business plans as rolled out by the Regional Vice President, Sales Directors, and Regional Sales Support Manager

Ensure accountability of self and team in participation of overall business strategy

Maintain relationships with sales and service teams to drive regional results

Participate in process improvement initiatives and pro‑actively recommend strategies for consideration

Strong ability to work collaboratively with the regional service counterparts to ensure customer needs are met and exceeded

What you will bring:





5+ years of experience in the insurance and/or financial industry an asset

Effective and empathetic leadership qualities

Confident communicator and facilitator with the ability to present, train, and transfer complex knowledge

Highly adaptable, driven to help people be their best

Results oriented and motivated self‑starter; ability to work independently and set priorities

Ability to prioritize effectively and manage workflow

Experience within the Group Benefits industry

Ability to solve problems and research information to determine appropriate decisions

Ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships within the organization and region

Track record of consistently achieving and exceeding performance targets

Pattern of success across multiple disciplines

Post‑secondary education or equivalent work experience

Financial Services Industry designations an asset; such as GBA or CEBS

The base salary for this position is between $71,900 - $119,800 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
