At Swish, our people are at the heart of everything we do.About The RoleThe Buyer is a key member of the Purchasing team, responsible for executing day-to-day procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of products. This role manages purchase orders, maintains accurate procurement data, and builds strong supplier relationships while supporting inventory availability and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate and manage purchase orders, including entry, confirmation, and follow-up on estimated time of arrival (ETA)Monitor open purchase orders and proactively follow up on late or outstanding shipmentsMaintain accurate product,,
and supplier data within the ERP systemSet up new product codes and ensure data integrity across purchasing systemsCommunicate order status updates and supply issues to branch and internal teamsLiaise with suppliers regarding lead times, backorders, pricing, and product availabilitySupport sourcing activities by identifying alternative products and suppliers when neededAssist in maintaining supplier relationships, including pricing, terms, and service performanceSupport Finance with inventory control efforts Maintain purchasing documentation, including price lists and supplier recordsUtilize available data and reporting tools to drive operational improvementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Warehouse) to support product availabilityParticipate in process improvements and departmental initiativesPerform other duties as assignedWhat You BringPost-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred (equivalent work experience will be considered)3-5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related roleExperience working with ERP systems (e.G., Epicor) preferredStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesEffective communication and interpersonal skills for working with suppliers and internal teamsDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilitiesStrong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Google SuiteA People-first CompanyJob Details & What We OfferMembership in the Swish family - we treat our employees with integrity and have since 1956The roleLocation: On-Site - Peterborough, OntarioSalary Range: $50,000 to $70,000 (based on skills and experience)Variable compensation: Annual performance bonus eligibilityVacation:
