Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Private Caregiver to provide personalized, high-quality care to an individual in their homes. This vital role involves supporting an individual with MS by delivering attentive, respectful, and professional assistance. As a Private Caregiver, you will play a crucial part in enhancing clients' quality of life through compassionate care, ensuring their safety, comfort, and independence are prioritized every day.

Duties

- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences while maintaining proper hygiene standards
- Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules and document all medication-related activities diligently
- Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive environment and reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and comfortable living space
- Support clients with mobility and transfer techniques using proper body mechanics to prevent injury for both caregiver and client




- Monitor health status by observing changes in physical or mental condition and communicate updates to family members or healthcare professionals as needed

Requirements

- Proven experience in assisted living, home care, nursing home settings, or hospice care with a focus on senior or patient care
- Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Ability to to use Hoyer lift safely when required for transfers or moving equipment
- Robust skills in caregiving, medication administration, meal preparation, and basic cleaning tasks
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow detailed care plans and instructions accurately
- Valid certifications related to caregiving or nursing (if applicable) are preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary training is appreciated
- Compassionate attitude combined with patience, reliability, and respect for client privacy and dignity
