DescriptionJob Title: Product Compliance Data Analyst I
Role: Responsible for maintenance and continuous improvement eCommerce item compliance program. This role supports the classification of products for Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) requirements and flammable/combustible storage regulations, ensuring regulatory compliance throughout the item setup process. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal cross-functional business partners and sellers to resolve regulated product setup issues and enable compliant product onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor products through the item setup lifecycle to identify potentially regulated products items and ensure accurate classification for Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and flammable/combustible storage requirements.
• Review and assess Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and other information to support product classification and regulatory compliance.
• Utilize internal and external tools and resources to locate and validate Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) • Partner with internal stakeholders and sellers to resolve regulated product setup issues and ensure timely, compliant product onboarding.
• Build solid cross-functional relationships to support business initiatives while identifying, assessing and mitigating compliance risks associated with expanding product assortments and customer offerings.
• Develop,
monitor and report on key performance metrics to measure compliance program effectiveness, identify trends and procactively address potential issues.
• Leverage data and technology to improve compliance processes, increase operational efficiency and enhance program execution.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and collaborate across business functions to implement scalable compliance solutions and drive continuous improvement.Must have:
- 2 years of experience in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) compliance, classification or a related regulatory field. • Experience interpreting and applying Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) to support product classification. • Experience with Fire and Life Safety commodity classification is an asset. • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate insights to actionable recommendations. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. • Process-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and optimize workflowss. • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence partners and achieve alignment across teams. • Experience working in retail, eCommerce, product compliance or supply chain operations.
