Caffe Fantastico is a local family-owned company, with three licensed bustling locations in Victoria. We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Production Baker / Pastry Assistant, at our Quadra Village Roastery location as a main base and willingness to work at all locations.

Reporting to, and working with our talented Pastry Chef, this position is responsible for daily production and bake-off of house staples, as well as contribute to prep in our our growing pastry and dessert program.

This is a part-time position to start, 3 days a week (Tuesday-Thursday) with room to grow.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in commercial baking production, an ability to follow detailed recipes / instructions and can respond positively to feedback and assessment. As a first on-site, punctuality and reliability are important as are personal organization and excellent time management skills.





Primary Responsibilities

- Prepare from scratch all in-house baking, following established recipes
- Bake off fresh daily baking in line with par levels
- Prep for pastry and dessert menu, following prep list set by Pastry Chef

Knowledge and Skills required

- Must be self-motivated, ability to work independently and apart of our team
- Proven baking and kitchen experience
- Great communication skills
