Who We Are: Boreal Woodwork is a Winnipeg based, multi-disciplinary woodworking company with divisions in stair building, finish carpentry and millwork + cabinetry. We specialize in high end work and focus on providing our clients with beautifully crafted products that are built to stand the test of time. Our team is a group of skilled craftspeople who genuinely care about the work and each other, and are excited to tackle these projects together.

Who we are looking for: We're looking for someone with a strong sense of craft and character — someone reliable, easy to work with, and hungry to get better at what they do. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-5 years experience. You'll be taking on projects that are genuinely complex, and you should be the kind of person who enjoys that kind of problem solving challenge.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed shop drawings for cabinetry, stairs, doors and millwork components using Cabinet Vision, AutoCAD and Autodesk Fusion
- Support custom design work in Fusion, with opportunity to take on more complex designs and CNC programming over time
- Review conceptual designs for constructability and participate in design reviews to help resolve field or fabrication problems through drawing details and technical clarifications
- Produce complete production documentation packages including assembly sheets, cut lists and component details

- Coordinate with project managers and the design lead to confirm scope and clarify design intent before release to fabrication
- Follow company drafting, design and documentation standards
- Actively contribute to digital workflow improvements

- Qualifications and Skills

- 2-5 years experience in woodworking or related fields
- Post secondary education in architecture, industrial design or cabinet making fields preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD with robust drafting fundamentals
- Proficiency in at least one industry-standard cabinet design software (Cabinet Vision, Mozaik, or Microvellum), with a solid understanding of how these systems operate — Cabinet Vision experience is a plus, but can be trained for the right candidate
- Experience with Autodesk Fusion a plus
- Understanding of cabinet construction and joinery methods, with growing knowledge of architectural detailing
- Ability to read architectural drawings and translate them into accurate, production-ready designs
- Strong spatial awareness and visualization skills for 3D assemblies
- Attention to detail and a genuine interest in solving complex design challenges
- Strong time management skills — able to self-manage tasks and meet deadlines
- Eager to learn and grow, open to trying new techniques and be an active part of refining our design processes

- Requirements

- Reliable transportation to get to work daily

- What We Offer

- Competitive pay: $23-30/hr based on experience
- Extensive health benefits package.
- Overtime Pay
- Vacation
- Monday–Friday daytime schedule (no weekends).
- A supportive, growing team with a focus on quality and culture.
- Opportunity to grow within the company as the division expands.

Job Type: Full-time
