We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Professional PSW (Personal Support Worker) / Caregiver to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice environments, and private homes. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote dignity and independence
- Support patients with mobility needs, including transferring, repositioning, and heavy lifting as required
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding if necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning and sanitation of living areas
- Monitor health status by observing changes in condition,
reporting concerns promptly to healthcare professionals
- Provide emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation for clients with dementia or disabilities
Skills
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments
- Solid patient care skills with an understanding of senior care, hospice care, dementia care, and disability support
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while assisting clients with mobility challenges
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and active listening abilities
- Competence in meal preparation tailored to specific dietary needs
- Familiarity with cleaning routines necessary for maintaining hygienic living spaces
